You Are Chosen (1)

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:” 1 Pet 2:9

The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines chosen as: “one who is the object of choice or of divine favor: an elect person”. The word Chosen applies to every child of God, whether you are a preacher or not. As a matter of fact, you have been chosen long before you become a Christian:
– You are chosen to come to this world. Jer 1:5
– God chose you to come the time you came. Ecc 3:2
– You are chosen to come to the nation, ethnic group and the family you belong. Acts 17:26

“Just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,” Eph 1:4-5 NKJV. When you accept Jesus Christ into your life, you are automatically adopted into the Chosen Family of God. “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name:” Jn 1:12. This means that whether you are a Chosen of God or not depends you. It depends on whether you believe or accept Jesus Christ, God’s Only Begotten Son, whom He has sent to this world to become the propitiation of our sins. “And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” 1 Jn 2:2.

It takes just one sperm to fertilize an egg, out of between 200 to 300 millions that were released by a man into a woman during an ejaculation. For you to be conceived and born into this world, God must have chosen you for a purpose. However, you cannot come into the purpose of God for your life by your physical birth alone. You need a spiritual birth; you must be born again. “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” Jn 3:5-7

Prayer
1. Father God, thank you for choosing me to come to the world at a time like this to fulfill your purpose.
2. Father God, help me to activate your purpose for my life.
3. Every plan of Satan to frustrate the Chosen seed of God in my life and my children, be destroyed, in the name of Jesus.
