We are at war

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed.” Ge 3:15

Since God’s judgment at the Garden of Eden, there have been war between the serpent’s seed and the woman’s seed. The serpent’s seed is of the posterity of Eve who have the devil’s spirit and obey his rule. “This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child.” 1 Jn 3:10 NIV

The seed of the woman are those whose character and life is patterned after Jesus Christ, the Messiah, who came to destroy the works of the Devil. “He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 Jn 3:8

The Serpent is still at war with the seed of the woman, who keeps God’s commandments (Rv 12:17). Fear not, victory is ours. “The God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.” Ro 16:20
