Think positive

A charge for the New Year (1)

…whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report… think on these things. Php 4:8

It is just a few days to the end of the year, and there is no greater way than to encourage us as Paul did the Philippians. We need to end the year, and enter the new one with positive mental and spiritual attitudes. This is necessary so we can achieve our full potentials in God in the New Year. God “…is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”, Ep 3:20.

Let these be the considerations which guide our thoughts and direct our motives. Apostle Paul implies that we have the power of governing our thoughts, and so are responsible for them. If the thoughts are ordered well, the outward life will follow. “For as he thinketh within himself, so is he…” Pr 23:7 ASV.

Enter the New Year with thoughts of good things. Refuse to give in to negativity and defeats. God is ready to take you to a higher ground, but you must align your mind with His words. Let your thoughts pass through the refinery of truth, honesty, love, purity, etc, and you will have the Holy Spirit and the angels ministering to you throughout the New Year and beyond.

Prayer
O God my Father, help me to order my thoughts to align with your words and promises for my life from today onwards. I receive the power to apply Php 4:8 to my thoughts, in the name of Jesus.
