The greatness of a soul (2)

“Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” Mk 8:37

What makes the soul great?
1. Man is the greatest of God’s creation. He was created in God’s image. Ge 1:26-27
2. The soul of man has no ending. After man dies on this earth, his soul still lives on forever, either in heaven or hell fire, Mt 25:46
3. The soul of man can be God’s habitation. As great as the heavens are, God wants to dwell in the heart of man, 1Co 3:16. This is a great mystery. If your life feels empty no matter your achievements, that means God is absent.
4. The whole earth is lighter than a soul. This is what made Jesus Christ to shed his precious blood on the cross for you. 1Pe 1:18-19. Your soul is secured as long as you surrendered your life to Jesus, take up your cross and follow him, Mk 8:34.

Satan is waging war against your soul; let God have the victory, Jn 10:10.

Father God I thank you for creating me to live forever. Help me to spend eternity with you.
