The greatness of a soul (1)

“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” Mk 8:36

The soul is the inner invisible man, and manifests itself in behaviours. All souls are equal before God, either young or old, Ez 18:4. We have two types of souls; the unregenerated soul, and the regenerated soul. The regenerated soul comes after the new birth; when you received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. The unregenerated soul does not know or acknowledge God; it commits sin repeatedly, and rejoices in it, Ro 8:7.

The soul of man have the capacity to sin, to repent, believe and love God. It is the soul that submits to God’s authority that will spend eternity in Heaven with God. The soul cannot die. The final end of wicked and unrepentant souls is hell fire. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Rv 20:15

Lord Jesus Christ, I surrender my life to you; take control over my soul.
