A year of good tidings

…Then they said one to another, We do not well: this day [is] a day of good tidings, and we hold our peace…”

2Ki 7:9

There was a supernatural turn around recorded in the Bible in 2Ki 7:1-20. It was a good tidings from death to life, siege to freedom and starvation to abundance. This good tidings was spread through lepers because:
– They were courageous
– They were tired of their present situations
– They were not afraid to die
– They were willing to take a step of faith.
“…and they said one to another, Why sit we here until we die?” vv 3.

What are you waiting for in your life? What is keeping you bound to one position? You may think you don’t have the connections or qualifications, but these are just excuses. The four lepers had nothing, and to make it worse, they were outcasts.

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.” Lk 2:10. Those who are afraid cannot receive good tidings. In the kingdom of God, there is no room for cowards. The opposite of fear is faith. “But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hb 11:6.

Why do you allow the enemy to intimidate you? Speak out confidently; step out boldly. Fear is the only deterrent for you this year. The secret key to your good tidings this year is boldness. “For the LORD God [is] a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good [thing] will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” Ps 84:11

Prayer
O GOD my Father, I receive the spirit of boldness today and I step out in faith. I receive my good tidings this year and I shall testify multiple times, in Jesus name. Amen.
